Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) Programs


CBT for Veterans and Emergency Services Day Program

Tuesdays from 9:00am until 3:30pm.

This DVA approved eight week program very specifically targets the problems associated with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder in this special group of people, and it is recommended that individuals participating are also undergoing individual therapy for specific trauma processing. The skills and education contained are CBT and Interpersonal Therapy based, and include training in relaxation techniques and mindfulness.

CBT for Mood Disorders Day Program

Wednesdays from 9:00am until 3:30pm.

The behavioural component of this course assists participants to re-engage with living in helpful ways. Participants also learn how to track and monitor mood fluctuations to help gain insight and control over their illness. This program is DVA approved.

CBT for Transdiagnostic Anxiety Disorders Day Program

Tuesdays from 9:00am until 3:30pm.

This program provides a very specific focus on exposure therapy to decrease the impact that anxiety can have on an individual’s life. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is used to identify unhelpful thoughts that maintain anxiety, and relaxation techniques are utilised to better manage physical symptoms of anxiety.
